For ten years, our tearoom in Wolverley has been a place to enjoy delicious food, catch up with loved ones and make special memories over a cup of tea. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has visited and supported Gil’s along the way, and we look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new friends for many more years to come.

Our speciality afternoon tea is all about making time for the finer things. Expect beautifully prepared treats, delicious sandwiches, indulgent cakes and, of course, plenty of tea, all served in a relaxed and luxurious setting.
We want everyone to enjoy the experience, which is why we happily cater for a range of dietary requirements, including vegan and gluten free options. Every afternoon tea is prepared with the same care and attention to detail, so you can relax, indulge and enjoy a special afternoon knowing there’s something delicious for everyone.

For over ten years, we’ve been providing catering for all sorts of occasions, from weddings and birthday parties to family gatherings, anniversaries and wakes. We understand that every event means something different to the people involved, and we take pride in offering a personal service that makes planning the food one less thing to worry about.
Our experience also extends to corporate events, including workplace lunches, business meetings and company functions. We’re proud to have catered for internationally recognised brands and, since 2025, have brought our catering expertise to all events hosted at Churchill & Blakedown Golf Club.
Across every setting, we remain committed to quality, reliability and ensuring the food is one of the highlights of the occasion.

We went to Gils for a late breakfast and oh my goodness it was lush! Firstly, the portion sizes were brilliant, especially for the price, the quality of the food was incredible and the service of the staff was phenomenal, they could never do enough.
We also had Mother’s Day afternoon tea here on Mother’s Day and again, that was incredible. They delivered on quality of food, quality of service and also quality of portions. We will definitely be returning!

Delicious afternoon tea
We booked afternoon tea for twelve to celebrate my mum's 90th birthday and it couldn't have been nicer. Gil was charming and very kind and the team were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious.
Our party contained four children, two vegetarians and a vegan. Everyone was catered for. The vegan in our group noted that real thought and care had gone into her platter. This was my first visit to Gils and we all agreed we would return.

One of the best in the UK
I've visited hundreds of cafes, tea rooms and coffee shops over the years in the UK as well as around the world, and reviewed many of them. Without doubt this is definitely one of the absolute best.
Why? The quality of food and effort put into doing the simple was fantastic. This isn't thrown together food, it's thought about to make the visit here memorable. The cakes were tasty and the service quick, polite and welcoming. Exceptional!
